Itinerary
- Transfer by shared shuttle bus to the four-star Luxor hotel on the famous Las Vegas strip. This hotel is next door to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay; and opposite New York New York and the MGM Grand hotel.
- Overnight hotel stay at the four-star Luxor Hotel. Try your hand in the casino or visit the hotels themed attractions or those of other hotels within walking distance.
- After breakfast the Grand Canyon Ranch coach will pick you uo for a two-hour scenic journey via the Hoover Dam to the Grand Canyon Ranch. Stay in a private log cabin and enjoy full board western style meals in the ranch house.
- Enjoy a Rodeo demonstration, a sunset horse ride or wagon ride safari and campfire entertainment in the evening back at the ranch.
- Overnight hotel stay at the four-star Luxor Hotel. Try your hand in the casino or visit the hotels themed attractions or those of other hotels within walking distance.
- Make your way to Las Vegas Airport for your direct flight to Los Angeles. Transfer by shuttle bus to the four-star Crowne Plaza Airport hotel for an overnight stay.
- Visit the boutiques on Rodeo Drive and perhaps take a Movie Star tour in Beverly Hills. Visit the Chinese Mann's Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard where you will find the Walk of Fame and see how your hands measure up to those of Hollywood stars cast in the concrete sidewalk outside the theatre.
- You're spoilt for choice for things to do in Los Angeles. Anaheim is the home of Disneyland and also a western style Rrollercoaster park called Knott's Berry Farm. Long Beach is the final resting place of the original Queen Mary which has been converted into a floating museum/ restaurant/ hotel.
- Make your way to the cruise terminal in Long Beach California for a four-night cruise on-board Carnival Inspiration. The ship departs at 18.30. Cruise itinerary may vary.
- Catalina Island is located 22 miles south southwest of Los Angeles and is the southernmost island of the Channel Islands of California. It is made up of two towns, Avalon to the east with its scenic harbour and Two Harbors to the west. Take a tour in a glass bottom boat to see the colourful fish that thrive in the crystal clear waters.
- Get a taste for Mexican food, culture in Ensenada, located on Mexico's Baja California peninsula. The city is known for La Bufadora, an underwater cave that sucks in seawater and randomly squirts it out at the cave top drenching onlookers. Nearby vineyards offer wine-tasting and nature enthusiasts may be rewarded by the sight of grey whales that visit the waters offshore.

The great ranches of the old west are time capsules of the American frontier, where one can hear tales of gunfighters and desperadoes, wranglers and cowpokes, and cattle drives of a thousand miles up the dusty Chisholm trail to Dodge City. Just two hours from the gleaming casinos and luxury hotels of Las Vegas, is one of the great western ranches, the historic 165 square mile Grand Canyon Ranch Resort. Part of the Mormon trail ran through its land, Indians practised their mysterious ritual of the Ghost Dance here and a notorious gunfighter, Tap Duncan, settled here and bought the ranch originally known as the Diamond Bar.
All cabins are detached, each one custom built, have beautiful woodwork interiors, porches all with spectacular views and containing authentic western artefacts such as saddles and wagon wheels. The cabins are open year round. The western standard cabin has a queen size bed, full separate bathroom with an antique cowboy bath-tub or shower and fireplace or heater.
