17days from
£1,959*per person

Overview

Head down under to the other side of the world to snap selfies in the shadow of the Sydney Opera House. This wonderful holiday gives you the chance to explore strangely familiar home away from home countries. Nothing beats standing on Circular Quay in Sydney staring at the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It suddenly dawns on you - that you are on the other side of the world; this is a defining moment in long haul travel. Soak up the sun on the famous Bondii Beach or the more impressive Manly Beach and enjoy the nightlife and dining of darling harbour. Then set sail on cruise to Australia's Gold Coast and the Great Barrier Reef. Swim, snorkel or even scuba dive in the aquarium of Australia and discover the fine sandy beaches of the Whitsunday islands.

Itinerary

  • With Sydney being approximately nine-hours ahead of UK time and the flying time being approximately 22-hours you depart the UK two-days before you start of your holiday in Australia
  • Three nights' hotel stay in central Sydney. Famous for its beautiful harbour and stunning beaches, Sydney is a must on any visit to Australia. With so much to see and do in this amazing city, its well worth planning ahead to make the most of your time here, especially if you're only in town for a few days. Perhaps begin by exploring the harbour, with its famous landmarks and take a ferry ride across the harbour to Manly, where you'll experience fantastic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House along the way. Any visit to Sydney wouldn't be complete without a visit to its iconic beaches and a great way to see these is by taking the Bondi to Bronte walk, a short spectacular coastal trail along epic sandstone cliffs.
  • Make your way to the port to embark the ship.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and sits on the Brisbane River. Major landmarks and attractions include South Bank Parklands, the City Botanic Gardens, King George Square and City Hall, the Story Bridge, the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and Lookout and the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • As the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef, Airlie Beach is the perfect base from which to explore these magnificent wonders. Located in the heart of the Whitsundays region, the coastal town of Airlie Beach has some great beaches. Very fine sediment suspended in the region's waters scatters sunlight as it penetrates the water, creating the shade of blue that makes the Whitsundays famous.
  • Although quite well known - Cairns is in the remote far north of the Queensland coast. The town is a low-rise sprawling area with wonderful beaches and a tropical climate. It is considered the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef- so take this chance for a once-in-a-lifetime swim, snorkel or even scuba dive in the aquarium of Australia's East Coast. Perhaps visit Daintree National Park with its gorges, beaches and mountainous rainforest. Or head to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park to learn about the indigenous Aboriginal people.
  • Port Douglas is a town on the Coral Sea in the tropical far north of Queensland, Australia. It's known for its beach resorts and as a base for visits to both the Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest reef system, and Daintree National Park, home to biodiverse rainforest. In town, Macrossan Street is lined with boutique shops and restaurants. Curving south is popular Four Mile Beach.
  • Located roughly 450 kilometres east of Cairns, Willis Island is the only permanently inhabited island in the Coral Sea. The island is quite small, and is only around 7.7 hectares. Perfect for unbelievable sunbathing on the finest powder white sands or snorkelling in bath-water clear seas.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Disembark the ship after breakfast and make your way to the airport for your overnight flight home.
  • Arrive into the UK in the morning from your overnight flight for your onward journey home.
