Take this unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to island-hop across the Indian Ocean and visit East and South Africa. Sink your toes in to the white sand beaches on the island paradise of Mauritius and take some time to admire the views from of Table Mountain in Cape Town.

Itinerary

  • Fly overnight to Mauritius.
  • Stay for 2 nights' on bed-and breakfast basis in the five-star Luxe Grand Gaube resort soaking up the sunshine, relaxing by the pool and sinking your toes in powder white sand. Pristine tropical beaches, diverse cultures, rugged natural beauty, and tranquil temples; cosmopolitan Mauritius has something for everyone. Highlights include a visit to Tamarind Falls - a string of seven waterfalls set in a breath-taking tropical valley, the Crocodile Park for its namesake and a host of other local wildlife and Black River Gorges National Park, where you can hike to the highest point of the Island.
  • Make your own way to the port and embark ship.
  • This unique island in the middle of the Indian Ocean is simply one of the most intriguing spots on earth. Not as well-known as nearby Mauritius or the not-so-far-away British Seychelles, little Reunion seems but a speck in the vast ocean, dwarfed by Madagascar, located 500 miles to the west. The French know the island well but only the very well-travelled have ever stepped foot on Reunion's varied and enticing terrain. With an active volcano on its south coast, 17 miles of warm, welcoming beaches in the west, and lots of mountains and forests in between, Reunion Island offers opportunities ranging from relaxing to truly insane. Perhaps take a hike to Reunion's unique "cirques" or visit the island's many waterfalls.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Antsiranana, also known as Diego Suarez, is a port city in northern Madagascar. It sits on Antsiranana Bay, a vast natural harbour made up of several smaller bays. Offshore, conical Nosy Lonja, or Sugar Loaf Island, is considered sacred by locals. Long, sandy Ramena Beach lies to the northeast. The city's French colonial architecture is highlighted by the old covered market and the ruins of the Hôtel de la Marine.
  • Occupied by Europeans in the 17th century and serving as a trading post -you will discover many historical sites dating from the colonial era, including Sainte Luce, a fishing village with its long beaches bordered by casuarinas and palm trees. Perhaps visit the Fort-Flacourt, the remains of an ancient bastion, the museum of Anosy (retracing the colonial history) or the Fort of the Portugueses.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Overnight onboard in port. Richards Bay is a town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is situated on a 30-square kilometre lagoon of the Mhlatuze River, which makes it one of the country's largest harbours. It has many popular attractions, including Dayspring Restaurant & Animal Farm, and the Enseleni Nature Reserve.
  • Known as the Windy City - Port Elizabeth is one of the largest cities in South Africa, and lies 770km east of Cape Town, where it forms part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro. Algoa Bay is the coastal strip of Nelson Mandela Bay incorporating a 40km stretch of beaches with fishing, surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling and sailing available at less-populated spots. Visit the Red Location Museum, the South African Air Force Museum and the Donkin Reserve. The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum and Prince Alfred's Guard Memorial are both located in St George's Park - the oldest park in Port Elizabeth and home to the St George's cricket oval. Nelson Mandela Bay prides itself on offering the Big Seven of the animal kingdom. In addition to the Big Five - lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard and elephant - visitors to the nearby Addo Elephant National Park can see the great white shark and southern right whale in the bay waters off the park. Perhaps explore the lush forests of the Kragga Kamma Game Park, where white rhino, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and other animals roam freely.
  • Mossell Bay is situated on the Garden Route in South Africa's Western Cape Province. Perhaps visit the Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex which includes a maritime museum, botanical gardens and a shell museum. or relax on the wide Santos Beach and enjoy the bay views from the 19th-century Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse.
  • Spend overnight onboard in port.
  • Disembark the ship and make your own way to your hotel for two-nights' hotel stay in the heart of Cape Town on the V&A Waterfront. Enjoy the cosmopolitan vibe, perhaps soak up the views from the top of Table Mountain or visit a nearby winery. Enjoy a full day safari tour with lunch to the Aquila Game Reserve. After departing from your hotel, travel to Aquila, proclaimed a Private Nature Reserve in 1985, this four-star, malaria-free, 4,500 hectare reserve is steeped in Boer War history and boasts three-pristine biomes of vegetation set in the magnificent Karoo Mountains, valleys, rivers and kloofs. Upon arrival enjoy a welcome drink served in the reception area before making your way to the restaurant where guests will then enjoy a buffet-breakfast before departing on a two to three-hour safari in 4x4 safari vehicles with a ranger guide. Upon returning from your game drive enjoy a buffet lunch served in the African Boma restaurant. After lunch guests are able to relax at the pool and are welcome to browse the African curio shop before returning to Cape Town.
