Overview

One of the most ancient cities in the world, Athens Greece is famous as the birthplace of democracy. With a history of over 3,000 years, it is the best town for sightseeing. The city took its name after Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and daughter of Zeus. Renowned for its rich history and archaeological ruins, but there's so much more to this amazing city. With pristine beaches, stunning landscapes, a vibrant nightlife, and mouth-watering cuisine, there's something for everyone, making it the ideal place for a getaway.
The 90,940-ton, 2,170-passenger Celebrity Infinity is one of Celebrity Cruises' four vessels known as Millennium-class. That means they have some of the line's signature features -- lots of speciality restaurants, a One Spa World spa, a gorgeous indoor Solarium and a variety of cabin classes. She has just under gone a refurbishment in 2024 with a re imagined Retreat Lounge, updated public spaces and new suite categories.

Itinerary

  • Fly to Athens and transfer to your hotel
  • A chance to explore this historic city.
  • Transfer to cruise port and embark ship
  • Thessaloniki is a Greek port city on the Thermaic Gulf of the Aegean Sea. Evidence of Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman history remains, especially around Ano Poli, the upper town. The ruins of Roman Emperor Galerius 4th-century palace include the Rotunda that has been both a church and a mosque. Much of the city centre was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1917. The rebuilt 20th-century city has a modern European layout.
  • Kusadasi is the staging post for Ephesus (the Turkish equivalent of Pompeii) well known for the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and is a popular tourist destination. Nearby there is the opportunity for lazing on the beach, snorkelling and for the thrill seekers out there, try the aqua park.
  • Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
  • Limassol is a city on the southern coast of Cyprus. It's known for the centuries-old Limassol Castle, home to the Cyprus Medieval Museum and its collection of pottery and tombstones. On the seafront is the Prokymea (Molos) Sculpture Park, with sculptures by Cypriot, Greek and international artists. To the northeast is the Limassol Archaeological Museum, exhibiting artefacts from the Neolithic to the Roman periods.
  • Part of the Dodecanese chain of islands and situated close to the Turkish coast. Rhodes is the largest of this 12 islands chain where the Colossus is once said to have stood straddling Mandraki Harbour next to the ancient walled city of Rhodes Town. Rhodes Old Town is an ancient walled city with its cobbled streets and history that dates back to the crusades and the Knights of St John. Visit the Acropolis of Rhodes, Temple of Apollo, Palace of the Grand Master, Modern Art Gallery and perhaps have a flutter in the casino. There is so much more to Rhodes such as Efta Piges (7 Springs Park) with its ancient underground aquifer and fresh water lake, the Roman Spa at Kalithea, picturesque Lindos, tiny hill top white washed churches, olive groves and wonderful beaches.
  • Crete is the southernmost and largest of the Greek Islands. The major port of call is the Capital Heraklion in the centre of the Island. This is close to the ancient Palace of Knossos and the Minoan civilisation from 4000 years BC. Knossos is home to the ancient myth of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth . During world War II Crete was the last bastion of the Greek resistance when the locals helped Allied troops escape South through the Samaria Gorge as German paratroopers invaded from Souda Bay. Here you will high snow capped mountains, an incredible 12km hiking trail through the Samaria Gorge and ancient Lassithi Plateau with its windmills and the birth place of Zeus.

Ship Information

Cruise Overview
Chart a course for luxury on the spectacular Celebrity Infinity. Discover exhilarating destinations and embrace unforgettable experiences aboard this splendid ship, enjoying sublime leisure features, elevated accommodation and a wide selection of restaurants on each leg of your voyage. Whether taking to the sea with family, friends or as a couple, you're sure to be sailing on the crest of a wave as your cruise holiday dreams come true right before your eyes.
Cabin Details
All standard cabins come equipped with mini-bar fridges stocked with for-fee items, safes, telephones and interactive televisions with excellent programming (including CNN, ESPN, several movie channels, several in-house channels and TNT). There are two 110-volt outlets and two 220-volt outlets at the desk. If you bring a converter kit, you can convert one of the 220s to a 110 (or vice versa), giving you three outlets to use for sundry electronics like laptops, digital cameras and cellphone chargers. The bathrooms are large and well-lit, with plenty of storage space for cosmetics and toiletries, as long as you don't mind tucking them away in cabinets below the sink. Standard accommodations, Concierge Class and Aqua Class cabins have roomy showers, while suites have whirlpool baths. There are hair dryers in the vanities in standard cabins; upper-category accommodations get handheld dryers, but there are no outlets for them in the bathrooms. You have to use them in the desk/vanity areas, which is kind of a pain if you aren't using that area for grooming.
Dining Details
Trellis is the main two story dining room, with white glove service and seating for 1,150. Located on deck 4 & 5 with spectacular views out of the aft 2 deck high windows. Deck 4 is open for open seating breakfast between 7.30 am and 9 am and lunch from 12 to 1.30 pm.Dinner has two fixed seating of 6 pm and 8.30 pm at set tables. The Mast Grill, forward of deck 11, is the ideal place to get a quick bite to eat including burgers and other specialities grilled to order. The Ocean View Cafe and Grill, aft of deck 10 and seating 650 guests, serves an early risers breakfast from 6 am to 7 am, full breakfast and omelettes from 7 am to 10 am, late breakfast between 10 am and 11.30 am, lunch buffet from 12 to 2.30 pm, afternoon snacks from 3.30 to 4.30 pm and casual dining in the Ocean Grill section with table service from 6 pm to 9.30 pm.
Activities Details
Celebrity's nightly theatrical performances, ranging from Broadway compilations to piano concertos, take place in the lovely three-deck Celebrity Theater and are generally well-regarded. Shows include typical Vegas-style song-and-dance revues, alongside performances given by visiting comedians and musical groups. Fortunes Casino has an odd Egyptian theme for an otherwise sophisticated ship. You can lose, or possibly win, money at slots, poker, blackjack, craps, Texas Hold'em and roulette. Celebrity Infinity has a nice range of bars and lounges -- enough to keep you entertained, but not too many where you feel like you're missing out. Rendezvous Lounge (Deck 4): Lined with windows opening onto the promenade, this smaller space features art auctions during the day, and dancing or musical acts such as duelling pianos at night. Martini Bar/Crush (Deck 4): Located on the Grand Foyer, the ice-topped Martini Bar and smaller sibling Crush provide the best people-watching. The juggling bartenders also make this a great spot for pre-dinner cocktails. Infinity's main pool area, located on Deck 10 midships, features cushioned loungers, daybeds and wooden accents. The saltwater pool itself is divided into a shallow end for dipping and a deeper end for swimming; a circular lounge area sits on a raised platform in the middle. Anyone who wants to swim laps can do so early in the morning before the pools get busy. There are four hot tubs, a bar and table tennis on the port side. Additional lounge seating can be found one deck up, circling the pool area.
