Overview

The Italianate village of Portmeirion, on a rugged cliff top overlooking Cardigan Bay was built by visionary Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Renowned as a unique architectural work of art, Portmeirion starred as the surreal setting of “The Village” in the 60s television series “The Prisoner”. Join us as we step back in time taking-in Portmeirion, Conwy, a scenic steam train ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, Victorian Bodnant Garden and the hidden Gardens of Plas Cadnant on the Isle of Anglesey. We also visit Caernarfon, home to the Royal fortress where Prince Charles was invested as Prince of Wales in 1969 as portrayed in the recent TV series “The Queen”.
