Jersey

Jersey

The largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey only stands at 9 miles by 5 miles but feels infinitely bigger. The capital of St Helier is the heart of the island with lots to see and do, but don’t dismiss the rest of the island which has plenty of appeal. From the superb beaches in the south and west to the world-class zoo, several museums and excellent food it’s easy to see why people flock to this sun-drenched island.

Whilst in Jersey don’t miss the eerie World War Two tunnels of a German underground hospital. The tunnels have now been converted into a museum that tells the harrowing story of how they were made and what life was like under Nazi rule for 5 years.
